Common questions
Groundwater questions, answered
Practical answers on surveys, drilling, testing, and reticulation. Every site differs, so these are general guides rather than guarantees.
Is water always found?
Borehole depth and yield depend on the underlying geology and cannot be guaranteed before drilling and testing. A site survey narrows the likely targets, but results are confirmed only once the borehole is drilled and tested.
What does a site survey check?
A survey identifies suitable drilling targets while accounting for underground utilities, structures, and property boundaries. It helps position the borehole safely and practically on your site.
Why is yield testing necessary?
Yield testing determines a sustainable pumping rate. Pumping above that rate can protect pump longevity and reduce the risk of borehole collapse.
What happens after drilling?
Depending on the project, work can include casing installation, pump installation, yield testing, water tank installation, and plumbing reticulation. Each stage is scoped to the site.
Do you work outside the main centres?
We serve all nine provinces of South Africa. Access, terrain, and equipment requirements are assessed for each location before work is planned.
Can an existing borehole be repaired?
Borehole rehabilitation assesses the condition of an existing borehole and the work needed to restore it. Outcomes depend on the condition found during inspection and testing.
